I feel like raw sockets should be implemented, would make working with the raw protocols and tasks like IP spoofing easier to do portably... though be it, i did read that desktop windows don't have support for raw sockets, but i didn't do much research. As far as i know, Berkley sockets allow creation of raw sockets with the the socket type SOCK_RAWand protocol type IPPROTO_RAW
