User Story

Create a searchable tableau report for the seq_ops_tracking_per_sample table so that non-technical users can access the data.

Acceptance Criteria

• The report should be called "Seq OPS Tracking Report per sample"
• The report should be Public for ALL sanger Tableau users.
• The report should be located in Tableau next to the existing Seq OPS Tracking Report for plates.
• The report should show a table of the seq_ops_tracking_per_sample data with all columns.
• The report should be searchable on Study ID, Study Name, Manifest Plate Barcode, or All (i.e. any String match).
• The report should list the limitations of the report as described on the Sample Tracking Reports Confluence page.
• The report should have a link back to the Sample Tracking Reports Confluence page.
• The Sample Tracking Reports Confluence page should be edited to link to the Tableau report.

Background

There is an existing Public Tableau Data Connection called Seq Ops Tracking Per Sample (mlwh_reporting) that can be used as the data source for the report.
The new report should follow the same layout as the existing Seq OPS Tracking Report for plates

Hi @TWJW-SANGER ,Tableau is failing to save or create the dashboard because the per_sample view contains a massive amount of data.
One way to address this issue is to load the view with some predefined filters — for example, by loading samples for a specific study only.
Additionally, when users interact with the dashboard, certain filters should always be applied to prevent Tableau from crashing or timing out.
