Question : How to put thumbnails in the page directory ? #43

Hello,
When you create a gallery, if you choose to put the images in the directory of the page displaying the gallery, thumbnails are created and stored in the /images directory.
Is there a way of placing thumbnails in the page directory ? Or in any directory other than /images ?
This is because i want to protect my pictures with a password. But if i protect pages and /images with password, featured images cannot be displayed normally, thumbnails are missing and it's normal.
If i protect only pages, thumbnails of galleries are displayed without password, and i does not want that.
