• Migrate to non deprecated c-ares APIs #269
• Add new query types using the new API
• Use kwargs everywhere and have the callback be one of them
• Consider making c-ares threadsafe mandatory
• Enable event thread by default?

Probably a c-ares update is coming to fix c-ares/c-ares#1032

I think this is a vuln fix in the pipeline coming from the comments on some of the issue reports
