Pen stroke too thick for annotating pdfs

Motivation

I do mostly pdfs annotating and often write on the blank space beside a text.
For me the Pen Size 1 is quite big for most of my pdf, it results in less readable text and crowded space. I would like to zoom into the side space and write really small text, maybe even text that wouldn't be readable on printed paper, because it's too small.

Solution

I would like to have some global "pen size scaling" setting, where i can set a 0.5x multiplicator for the sizes. It could also be "very small", "small", "medium" (current scaling), "big", "very big" or something like this

Alternatives

Another possibility would be to change the current scale. The major disadvantage i see is that it would break the expectations of existing users.

Possible rescalings:

• 1-50
  • where old scale is 25-50
• 0.1-25
  • old scale is 1-25
  • step size between 1-25 = 1
  • step size between 0.1-1 = 0.1
