Cant display a matrix in multiple rows

Problem

A matrix, determinant, or array is not displayed in multiple rows, but only in one.

Steps

For example, when entering a multiple rows equation

\end{array}

\\]

it only renders in one row

Nevermind, I found a latex preprocessor.

For future reference, the reason why your example didn't work with the built-in MathJax feature is due to the backslash themselves needing to be escaped, so that it actually shows up in the text body that the clientside script can "see" and convert to LaTeX. This means that you need to write your linebreak as \\\\ rather than \\ and your opening/closing delimiters as \\[...\\] rather than \[...\].

Corrected Example

The mdbook-katex preprocessor works great, especially as can render completely serverside (this template has a one-click build script for Windows and Linux that you can just clone and run).

On the other hand, I'm also proposing Pull Request #2069 for clientside rendering which lets you use a simple \`...\` delimiter to write the much terser AsciiMath syntax much more appropriate for inline equations, and works nicely for block display and matrices as well.
