the version downloads archive may contain version IDs for crates or versions that were deleted from crates.io either by their authors or by admins due to copyright issues or for other reasons like that. |

I’m trying to build a complete mapping between
version_idandcrate_idfrom the official crates.io database dumps (https://crates.io/data-access#database-dumps).Here is what I have done so far:
version_id → crate_idshould be available in theversions.csvfile, since it contains bothid(the version ID) andcrate_id.For
version_ids, I used their official website as well (https://static.crates.io/archive/version-downloads/) which includesversion_ids from 2014 to the present. However, many of theseversion_ids don’t seem to have corresponding entries in the latest dump’sversions.csv. For example, version_ids = {447167, 931652, 861844}How can I get a complete mapping of every version_id to its crate_id for all versions published on crates.io?
My ultimate goal is to get top K most downloaded packages before 2024 and 2024 to current.
