VS Code extension missing and VSIX artifact expired

Describe the bug
As of 2025-11-05, the robocorp.robotframework-lsp extension does not appear to exist in the VS Code extension market place (this url gives a 404: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=robocorp.robotframework-lsp). Installing the extension directly using the VSIX file is also not possible because the robotframework-lsp.vsix artifact generated from this Github action: https://github.com/robocorp/robotframework-lsp/actions/runs/11163621558 has expired.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Search for the extension robocorp.robotframework-lsp in the VS Code Extensions Marketplace

OR

1. Go to https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=robocorp.robotframework-lsp which is a 404 error right now

OR

1. Go to https://github.com/robocorp/robotframework-lsp/actions/runs/11163621558 and attempt to download the robotframework-lsp.vsix artifact that is now expired

Expected behavior
The extension should be available in the VS Code Extensions Marketplace

Hi @dawnkd, thanks for the detailed report.

Unfortunately, we had to remove the Robot Framework Language Server extension from the VS Code Marketplace due to a trademark dispute raised by the Robot Framework Foundation. We are no longer actively investing in the Robot Framework ecosystem and thus decided to not spend resources on alternative branding or seek other resolution that would allow keeping it available.

Right now the extension is still available in Open-VSX for download https://open-vsx.org/extension/robocorp/robotframework-lsp, but we're working on unpublishing it there as well.
