sometimes image request fails with the error net::ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING.

this happens when we are going through the media using the next button.

• it is fixed if we click on retry button
• failed one usually have 2 requests (http client -> service worker and service worker -> server)
• success one have 4 requests (2 for thumbnail and 2 for image)
• failed request has lesser response size than the success one (issue in service worker -> server?)

Findings

• io.CopyN seems to be returning the correct number of bytes. so the backend application is copying all the bytes the issue might be on the client side, vite proxy or network buffer.
• tried adding content-length header so that it doesn't use chunked encoding but it is still failing due to similar error net:ERR_CONENT_LENGTH_MISMATCH
• from tcp dump it looks like the server closes the connection before the response is written to the connection. for fixing this i tried following
  • tried adding Connection: keep-alive header it didn't fix the issue
  • tried flushing response writer after copying all the bytes but it didn't fix the issue.
