It seems that an incorrect player pict is being used in Pokémon Crystal.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Set the player as a girl and start the game. Save the game (create a report). At this point, the player pict is correctly displayed as a girl.
2. Return to the main menu and restart the game.
3. When resuming from the save file, the player pict changes to a boy. However, the pict retains the girl’s color scheme (blue) instead of the usual boy’s color scheme (red).
App. Version: 1.6.4
Notice:
I am tested only Japanese version.
If the boy is selected as the player, the game resumes correctly without any issues.
If the girl is selected but resumed from the initial start save, the problem does not occur.
This issue was not reproducible on other emulators (e.g., RetroArch), although there were separate RTC-related issues with RetroArch.
For reference, images are attached:
Pic.1: Immediately after starting the game.
Pic.2: Player status screen immediately after starting.
Pic.3: Immediately after resuming from the save.
Pic.4: Player status screen immediately after resuming from the save.
