The current package requires numpy < 2 as declared in the pyproject file. I have done some tests forcing numpy==2.2.2 and it seems to work just fine. We are required to upgrade to numpy >= 2 due to incompatibility with other dependencies.
Would you consider upgrading the numpy compatibility to include a recent version of numpy?
