We pledge to make participation in the Veil community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
Examples of behaviour that contributes to a positive environment:
- Using welcoming and inclusive language.
- Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Gracefully accepting constructive criticism.
- Focusing on what is best for the community and the users we serve.
- Showing empathy towards other community members.
Examples of unacceptable behaviour:
- Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, personal or political attacks.
- Public or private harassment.
- Publishing others' private information without explicit permission.
- Sexualised language or imagery, and unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
- Doxxing, threats, or attempts to intimidate.
- Sustained disruption of discussions, talks, or other events.
- Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.
This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces — issue trackers, pull requests, chat channels, mailing lists, social media accounts representing the project, and project events — and also applies when an individual is officially representing the project in public spaces.
Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behaviour may be reported to the project maintainers via the contact channel listed in SECURITY.md. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.
Project maintainers are obligated to respect the privacy and security of the reporter of any incident.
Maintainers who do not follow or enforce this Code of Conduct in good faith may face temporary or permanent consequences as determined by other members of the project's leadership.
