How can rebuild system quickly when modify cpp files

I am sorry that I cannot find suitable materials to learn how to rebuild the system quickly when modifying CPP files.
Currently, I need pip uninstall and then pip install , and it takes a long time. Maybe this is because it rebuilds all things.
Is there a way to rebuild it more quickly?
