Description
Hi all,
With the launch of the PicoIDE coming in the near future, it got me thinking that it would be amazing if my existing PicoGUS could accept CD audio, assuming I was running in a mode which traditionally might have supported this such as Soundblaster.
Given the PicoGUS’ lack a native hardware connection for this, perhaps we could make use of the existing wave table header in order to input the CD audio into the PicoGUS?
For me, an ideal solution would be some sort of hardware mod to the PicoGUS, which could be performed in order to retain the WT header available for its original purpose whilst gaining CD audio.
For people not willing to do this sort of mod, an add-on board could be designed which accepts the CD audio cable connector and connects to the required pins on the WT header, so (less technical?) people don’t need to mess around with, for example, DuPont cables and hope they aren’t shorting things.
