Port Vanilla Mame LUA Plugin? #4

Would it be possible to port this to the Vanilla Mame LUA API as a plugin? I'm on LINUX and would like to use newer version of mame.

I ported it to lua for Fightcade's FBNeo here: https://github.com/peon2/fbneo-training-mode

Thanks, very cool effort. But I really want to use this in a Batocera type system which is LINUX basis and doesn't support Fadecade.
