Self hosting fails on AWS EC2

Running docker-compose up --detach on AWS Linux 2 fails with the following errors:

Also, why does it create databases with a numeric postfix like events_db_1 and then searches for events_db with no postfix?

Please share more of your logs; there was probably an issue with creating the DBs in the first place, error messages for those would be higher up in the logs.

I have set the bare minimum in plausible-conf.env

It runs fine locally when I set BASE_URL to localhost. But fails when I use docker context to host it on was ec2

Hmm, well you can't exactly use the base url just like that - have you set up a reverse proxy as per the docs? And that error is why I was bringing up that you may have been missing the admin password in the config.

If you try going to http://your-ipv4:8000 - what do you see? I don't see any big reasons for the app not working from these logs, it should be.

You said the app works fully if you don't put in a BASE_URL? That's kinda odd given the error you're getting, but if your app is working there, try setting up a reverse proxy or your DNS to set up your domain, then set BASE_URL with the appropriate URL once you confirm the app is working through localhost.

I don't have much of a reason for that error outside of your conf file not getting parsed correctly or similar, but I don't see much of a reason for that.

Maybe someone else will have a better reason for you, I'm unsure.
