How to do A/B testing with Plausible?

I wonder how to do A/B testing. For example I have an advertised page /socks and I want to test if different headings result in lower bounce rates.

In this case I would set a cookie in my Nuxt app and display one or the other variant for the same route. But in Plausible how can I differentiate the variants?

My first (and only) idea would be to fire a custom event on page load, but this would also count as a user action and result in 0% bounce rate.
