Dear all,
When an article has a long abstract, the record will not be registered with ORCID.
ORCID has some limitation in length for abstracts (i.e. abstractNote). I could not find an exact value for this limit, but on https://support.orcid.org/hc/en-us/articles/360006971353-Metadata-in-the-Works-section it says abstracts should be about "100-200 words".
My suggestion would be to trim the abstract to a safe value of length before sending the data to ORCID.

@klausru, I wouldn't want to speculatively chop abstracts without some clarification from ORCiD. @ewhanson, would you mind running this limitation past someone there?
