BUG: when gui remote api is down search doesnt work #737
Description
recreation steps:
- touch ~/.tea/tea.xyz/gui/dev
- take down app.dev.tea.xyz/v1 lambda
- turn on gui and search
weird, because it should not be connected at all. The gui should work offline
