Next Major: Use src/ folder in bundle

Code is right now right in the root of the repository. we should move the code into src/ and tests/ to follow current best practices.

Makes sense to me. We could also do that already for 1.x as that would mitigate the of merge conflicts when merging 1.x into 2.x.
