Reproduction steps

1. Open the app
2. Keep the app window open

Expected Behavior

Smooth 120fps experience even when app is open or not minimized.

Actual Behavior

App can lag, stutter, and freeze momentarily.

Additional Information

This is related to an issue on Electron using private APIs, which has been fixed already. Electron version should be bumped to at least versions v38.2.0, v37.6.0 and v36.9.2
