Navigation Menu (Sidebar Panel to Top)

Hi there! I'm fairly new to working with this kind of thing and, after going through the discussions, I couldn’t find an answer (or maybe I missed it). I have a question regarding the sidebar navigation. In the themes I’ve seen, the navigation buttons seems to be positioned at the top of the ui, but I’m having trouble figuring out how to make mine look the same.
