Mac Downloading

Hey everyone, I don't want to sound like a newbie (even though I am new to GitHub), how do I download the Youtube Music app on my Mac because when I tried downloading the main Youtube Music.exe file, but when I tried opening it, it didn't work and gave me an error message saying along the lines, "This file cannot be opened due to it being a Windows software." i checked on the tags and it says linux, mac and windows, so how come it's not working on my Mac laptop?
