Listening to X artist

A switch to display which artist you're listening to instead of "Listening to Youtube Music" in discord status

I was about to make the same post. I'd be willing to look into it myself, though I don't have any experience with this framework.

in discord-service.ts I tried to change

But didnt seem to do anything, still displays activity as listening to ytm. Ran the dev build. @JellyBrick mentioning you since looks like you worked on that and maybe have some insight. I changed the activity type and that worked though, but for some reason the name field isnt taking effect. I also tried passing in the pid to the setActivity calls as well as the second optional parameter, which also did not work.

Even if I just use this locally for myself and it doesnt become a feature.

Unfortunately Discord's RPC API is restrictive when it comes to this. The name field can't be changed dynamically. This was also requested (link). There is another tool out there that makes the requested feature possible. The creator has made a way to collect artists and store them as ids and replace the application's id.
