I swear I wrote a long GitHub issue somewhere about wanting to use the glue package syntax, e.g., en2fr("Scenario {x}") where x is an object or a number or anything. Avoids all the paste()ing. But that conflicts with using {} to protect capitalization, which would also be great and is what BibTeX uses.
