With the recent release of 0.0.12 rivet is now unusable on arc because it doesn't currently support chrome's sidePanel API properly.
Until they do, is it a heavy lift to optionally toggle a popup instead of the sidebar? Seems you can detect arc by checking for an arc specific css variable like this.
