df = pandas.DataFrame(np.arange(64))
length = len(df.index)
df.index = [(i - length / 2) % length for i in range(length)]
df.sort_index(axis=0, ascending=None, na_position="first")
ValueError: the 'axis' parameter is not supported in the pandas implementation of argsort()

Problem description

There was no such issue in pandas version 1.1.5
