Neuropixel and PyControl system

I want to combine the Neuropixel system (with PXIe chassis) with the PyControl system. one common break out board for managing I\O and synchronization is the BNC 2120. Here, the PyControl system will replace it. is it shielded enough to maintain the integrity of the measurements? is there something one should know before trying to combine the two systems?

Hi @HMC123-puxel,

We routinely use pyControl with Neuropixels recordings. To synchronise the data we output Rsync pulses on one of the pyControl BNC connectors and connect it to the SMA input on the front of the neuropixels pxi card. We have not had issues with noise on the ephys recordings when doing this.
