JavaScript onclick event

Describe the Problem

I was sent here by Elementor support. I have code to place in the header which was easy enough. And then code to place for a button such as:

Book Today!

Is there a way to add an onclick event to an Elementor button? I have a global button that I would like to add the code to. Or do I need to remove my global button and use the above JavaScript in place of the button?

Looking for ways to setup an onclick event to a button via JavaScript.
