Show Responsive Inherited Values and allow to select Unit Defaults #31467

Hi @feriamsidera! Thank you for sharing your feedback! 🙏 We are handling style inheritance a little differently in Editor V4. Instead of showing the inherited value right directly in the field without much context, we now use the Style Indicators to show from where the styles are being applied. We believe this is a better approach because it gives you an overview of what classes have styles applied, and which one is being overwritten, allowing you to make informed decisions, and decluttering the interface. We will consider it in the future though. 😉 We do understand users want to have REMs and other units as defaults for specific controls, and we are researching ways of implementing these options. However, we don't currently have plans to implement these options for now. So thanks for sharing your interest. Someone already mentioned it here. What you can do right now is to use the Smart Unit feature we just introduced in the latest Alpha that aims to streamline your workflow by easily typing the unit instead of having to select it. Give it a try and let us know how it goes! 🙂 Thank you for your feedback! Keep it coming! 💪 |

Hey @feriamsidera! Just to update here, we added Inherited Values as placeholders in almost all fields (more to be included in future releases), allowing you to know the existing values added to other breakpoints. Thank you for sharing your feedback! You helped shape the future of Elementor Editor V4! 🙌 💪 |

Well that is awesome to hear! I am definitely looking forward to being able to confidently build with some of these new elements. Going to be a worthy learning curve to faster building.

Noticed in the latest, while the value is shown between responsive points, it is not a live editable value and must be retyped prior to editing. Also and maybe even more of a hinderance, the values can only be adjusted in whole numbers for REM and EM while quickly using the number keys. This used to increase by .1. I've also tried adjusting it with modifier keys like command and still getting the same whole number up and down. Also, something that has long bothered me while working responsively. If I unlink a padding section on desktop, that unlinking is broken when editing for the next break point down. All these items should ideally by live between breakpoints and editable while maintaining the inherited value from the previous breakpoint. |

Description
Noticed after switching in the new V4 to a different font size units, while switching between responsive breaks this selection is lost and has to be reselected as well as the current size. It would be nice to have either A it to save this between breaks or even better let the user select the unit preference in the site settings. I usually work in REM most the time anyway and would prefer that over PX.
