Hi @brouskifi! Thank you for reaching out, and for your feedback! 🙏 We will discuss the Div element default styles, but I would like to ask you about your suggestion regarding the Structure panel (formerly Navigator) if you don't mind. While I personally see the value of your suggestion, I don't know if this would be the best approach for naming elements in the Structure panel for the wide userbase we have. Here's why:
Based on these points, I see more limitations than enhancements to this feature. The idea is to give the freedom and flexibility of choosing how you will name these elements in the best way that works for each person. While adding a setting that would enable or disable this possible feature would help, we would not be able to set it active by default, given these limitations, and not many people would even know this feature exists (not many people read the documentation). Not to mention the technical debt from a development standpoint (which should not concern you, but I'm just adding for clarity). So, my question is: How would you suggest we handle these points to implement such feature beside adding an on/off switch? Do you have any other use cases or solutions that could make this feature more viable? I would love to know more about it! 🙂 Thanks again for the feedback! Keep it coming! 💪 😊 |

Description
When building complex layouts in Elementor, it’s often hard to keep track of sections and elements in the Navigator — especially when many of them are the same widget type (like multiple Inner Containers or Divs).
A helpful improvement would be if the Navigator automatically named elements based on their first assigned CSS class. This way, users who follow naming conventions (like “section-purpose” — e.g. container-large, margin-top etc.) could immediately identify and organize elements more efficiently. This system works well on Webflow for example.
This small change would:
• Make complex pages easier to navigate.
• Save time when building or editing layouts.
• Reduce the need for manual renaming in every project.
The feature could be optional or enabled via a toggle in Elementor’s preferences.
And another small suggestion... When adding new divs and flexboxes I would like the padding to be 0rem by default.
