TBH: I'm not planning to work on the Svelte integration any time soon. But if you want to give it a shot: feel free – I'd really appreciate it!

If it helps, there's one existing app I'm aware of that has used (the vanilla JS version of) Annotorious in Svelte 5:

Realistically, I think an "official" Annotorious Svelte wrapper would have to do the same, rather than use the internal Svelte components directly, because those are strictly Svelte v4; and I'll very likely migrated them to SolidJS with the next major release.

Fair. I wanted to use it in my application, and was honestly just considering using the vanilla JS version.

If I was to do a Svelte version, I think I would try to mimic or port over the React implementation. Thoughts on that? I'm not super familiar with React so I'm not sure if what you have already is architecturally specific to React. Basing off the docs, I'd guess no: https://annotorious.dev/react/image-annotation/

That's right. The concepts and basic approach of the React wrapper should be pretty transferable to Svelte (or any framework, really).
