Description
Hi - I just tried it out there and I think that this is a great initiative. I can see it being a great tool for testing and teaching.
Some ideas for improvements:
- I see that only the GUI versions are included. I think that the CLI versions should also be included, as I know that I would be focusing on these if I was dong any training/teaching.
- It would be nice to include some test files (docs, images, videos etc) to immediately allow users to play around with files, rather than trying to access it over a network or setting up shared folders.
- I'm sure that there were good reasons for choosing Debian 9, but it is quite old. I tried installing FFmpeg via apt, and this version of debian has a very old version. I know that even the most recent version of Debian or Ubuntu would quickly get outdated with something like FFmpeg, but at least it would use Version 4.
- I'm not sure if it's best to refer to HandBrake in your documentation as ffmpeg/Handbrake or Handbrake(FFmpeg). This is not really accurate, as ffmpeg itself isn't installed, and HandBrake offers just a fraction of what ffmpeg is capable of. It would be like sayng VLC (FFmpeg).
Best,
