Right now, we have little insight into some of the following questions

How long do people stay on the signup page
Do they scroll down far enough
Where do visitors to the site come from
Are there particular sources of site visits that correlate highly with sign-ups

It seems great if we add something like Google Analytics (or self-hosted Piwik) so that we can gain that insight.
