Address verification fails for Portuguese addresses

I was attempting to test the condo software, but I can't do the bare minimum since I live in Portugal; the addresses aren't recognized.

I get the following error:

1. Why is condo making it mandatory to follow a specific pattern for addresses?
2. Can't we disable the fias verification, since it does not make sense for other places? Seems like it's using FIAS from Russian addrress Format. This format is not relevant for most countries. Can it be changed?

The message on your screenshot is just a translation string translated "automatically" from ru language.

As for the CORS error. Try to use local domains with certificates for development. You may create such domains and certificates using the prepare-tool (bin/prepare.js), or its interactive wrapper (bin/prepare-interactive.js). This tool creates .env files in selected applications, generates self-signed certificates, and prints instructions on how to add domains for local development.

For working with addresses, we use a separate service (see apps/address-service). This service allows the use of different external providers, such as Dadata (for ru addresses) or Google (for your case).
You may set the next env vars in the .env file:

PROVIDER=google
GOOGLE_API_KEY='<google api key>'

Each external provider returns normalized data (see apps/address-service/domains/common/utils/services/suggest/providers/AbstractSuggestionProvider.js). For some historical reasons, the shape of normalized data is close to Dadata's one, but if there aren't some fields, they will be empty. For example, there is no FIAS field outside of ru, so this field will be empty.
