Description The goal of this epic is to establish a comprehensive onboarding program for new team members joining in 2026. This includes creating documentation, processes, and resources that enable frictionless integration by providing newcomers with an overall picture of work streams and detailed knowledge of the Open Component Model (OCM).
User Story As a new team member, I want to have access to structured onboarding materials and guidance so that I can quickly understand the project's work streams, learn OCM fundamentals, and start contributing effectively without friction.
Scope List all deliverables that are part of this epic. The Epic is considered DONE if all of the below mentioned deliverables are available.
- Onboarding documentation covering project overview and work streams
- Detailed OCM tutorial/training materials
- Developer environment setup guide
- Contribution guidelines and best practices
- Onboarding checklist for new hires
- Mentor/buddy assignment process
- Welcome package with key resources and contacts
- Onboarding feedback mechanism
- Internal knowledge base/wiki with FAQs
Out of Scope
- Ongoing training beyond initial onboarding period
- HR-specific onboarding processes (payroll, benefits, etc.)
- Team-specific technical training outside of OCM
