OpenSesame freezes and hangs when running an experiment opened from Windows explorer

When opening an osexp experiment through Windows Explorer with the latest opensesame-core 4.1.14, the experiment does not start full screen and most of the times hangs/freezes. I can confirm this bug is not present in Opensesame 4.1.1

The full screen part might be related to hidpi scaling override. I have set high DPI scaling override to "application" for the python and pythonw executables. Normally this works correctly and it still works when I open an experiment directly from within opensesame.

Thanks for this. The only difference that I can think of is that when you start the application directly from the menu, opensesame.bat is executed, whereas if you click on a .osexp file, pythonw.exe is executed. This is not ideal, but I couldn't figure out how to do this differently with the NSI installer.

pythonw.exe differs from python.exe in that it doesn't open a terminal. Could you test whether changing opensesame.bat to use pythonw.exe internally also causes the issue to arise when you launch OpenSesame from the start menu?
