Home Assistant unresponsive while integrating my Candy

Hello,
I have a Candy CBWDS 8514TH-S, and I'm trying to integrate it into my Home Assistant. I can retrieve the token, but when I add the integration in HA, it asks for the IP address. After a while, the entire HA system becomes unresponsive. I have to restart it to get it working again.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have exactly the same problem. Running HA 2024.12.2 and when i try to enter the IP address HA locks up until i reboot it

Same problem here, enter the IP and then boom HA goes offline Running HA 2025.7.0

I just tried this and the same happened to me.

I suspect someone decided they'd just make the config flow do the hard part of finding the key for you, great in principle.

Except most people's HA grinds to a halt, or worse crashes if you try doing that on the spec of hardware they're using.

Please bring back a dedicated key input at the start of the config flow, for those of us who have already found the decryption key.
