Test / improve feedback if patch has invalid path #1279
Description
This can happen when creating a patch from one version and trying to apply it on an other where files have been moved around. I've not actually tried it in production but I think the error would / could be odd (probably the tarfile.open call raising tarfile.ReadError because git archive does not send any data).
