repeated workspace folders names

I use Doodba for development.

After installing the extension in Zed, with no configuration at all, if I open a Doodba project it displays a failure with this message:

There are repeated workspace folders names, which is not supported by OdooLS. Please remove the repeated folders and restart the server.

Nothing seems to work.

Currently, we do not support having workspace directories that have the same name open in your workspace (zed project in your case).

As I understand, perhaps Zed does not offer a way to directly rename the folder/project names in Zed. But what could work now is to try to rename the folders you have open in your project to get it to work.

Would it be possible to share the structure of your file structure? maybe that would make things clearer? and perhaps the OdooLS server logs as well?

Looking forward, we will look into supporting duplicated names in a later version.

In Zed, the concept of workspace folder doesn't exist. A workspace is just a folder.

Therefore, the error itself doesn't make sense in Zed, IIUC.

I can't reproduce this now...

I run nix build nixpkgs#mypy in the root folder of the workspace and add this odools.toml there:

builtins_path = "${workspaceFolder}/odoo/custom/src/odoo/builtins"
stdlib = "${workspaceFolder}/result/lib/python3.13/site-packages/mypy/typeshed/stdlib/"

    "${workspaceFolder}/odoo/custom/src/*"
]

It still boots with this error: odoo/odoo-ls#425

I run ln -s result/lib/python3.13/site-packages/mypy/typeshed/ . and it finally can overcome that error (meaning that it's ignoring the builtins_path I passed, and probably ignoring completely odools.toml).

Finally the extension is "working" (not giving errors)... but it still does nothing.

How is this stuff supposed to work? 😵

@yajo Apologies for our late reply.

1. As for the workspace name conflict, there is a fix coming for it, our server should allow for multiple workspace folder names with some restrictions, but normally should function more smoothly.
2. As for your config, it seems okay, but I would need to see the log file maybe, to try to figure out why it does nothing. Whenever possible, could you send us the server log file(s) ?
