Improving the look of Search bar in https://ocaml.org/api/index.html

Issue description

The search bar in /api/index can be improved to look better. The screenshot below is what it currently looks like

I agree this is more reminiscent of other search bars I've seen. The actual generation of these API docs is not a part of this repository, for more discussion on this see issue #1273 and #1279 and in particular this comment ocaml/ocaml.org#1273 (comment).

So we can modify the HTML to see how it would look, but ultimately it would be back-ported to the compiler where the manual is post-processed before the output is placed in this repository.

However @patricoferris going by your comment here #1273 I will like to know if this issue is worth the effort to consider whether an an agreement can be reached and consider upstreaming the change to the compiler.

Feel free to change the HTML and then draft PR it, it is still a contribution. We can push it to staging to see how it looks and then if there's agreement back-port the change.

I had a look and this part of the manual post-processing is quite close to raw html so backportiong should be straightforward.

@patricoferris You might want to check a draft of the PR I made here #1474 for this issue. Looking forward to the feedback on this. Thanks
