4. Versioning Discussion (Hubert) [8:15]

   Versioning and relaying revision information for non breaking changes #2100
   The proposal clarifies the two points addressed in this issue:

   • An element can have multiple revisions in multiple major versions, annotated with Core.Revisions
   • Services that make breaking changes to their metadata exposed through an existing service root must support $schemaversion system query option

   Hubert moves to resolve the issue as proposed. Stefan seconds. No objections, motion passes.
   Hubert will prepare PRs to add the necessary clarifications/examples.

5. Issues [9:15]

   Should updates of related resources be supported in Create? #352
   TC reviews the PR Support updating properties of related entities when creating an entity #2096 with the changes made by Mike to address feedback of previous discussion. Main changes are:

   • Entity references can be serialized in JSON either with the ID or the full set of key values
   • An entity can be created with related new or existing entities with updated properties

   The TC walks over the review comments made by Heiko and finds them all addressed in the proposed text.
   Mike moves to merge ODATA Support updating properties of related entities when creating an entity #2096 and resolve OData Should updates of related resources be supported in Create? #352 as proposed. Hubert seconds. No objections, motion passes. Issue is closed as completed.

   Applying an Operation to Members of a Collection: error handling for functions #2029
   TC discusses the response and behavior of operations that fail to process all members of the passed collection. Mike captures the proposal for the different combinations of function/action and with/without continue-on-error preference in this comment. Discussion to be continued.

   Rules for omission of properties in an operation request #2088
   The current text of the JSON Format specification covers entities and stream properties as action parameter values but not complex-typed parameters. The issue cannot be solved using the nullability of a property, because it does not relate to the presence of a property in an invocation. To have the same rules for action and function invocations, the statements should be put into the Protocol spec. Mike will elaborate a proposal.
