I usually add the kia, manually change from xenial to vivid, do update and

a) I have a Kia but not sure that I recommend them. b) in general don't type in the quotes in the instructions below.

Now I understood what you meant and managed to follow your instructions. However I get new errors and it gets complicated. Unfortunately my error messages are in Norwegian, and it'd be futile to translate them all. It's something about python parts needed, and not being possible to install them. I am going to have my friend have a go at it, if he can't fix it, I'll give up. I am already looking into NixNote, and it is looking promising. But thank you, John. You've given me good insight into the fact that I can use software for old distros, which can prove very useful in the future :) |
