I think this is a great idea! I have been having some problems with AI-on-the-edge, both related to a lot of wrong readings (which is probably an issue with light, which I will try to fix) and location (one of my meters is outside in a well. I can get wifi signal, but have no power, so battery and/or solar is needed. Consequently I want to reduce the complexity on my various devices so I have to do minimal maintenance there. On the other hand having a docker container proces the images with OpenCV and python will allow for faster, and hopefully more stable data processing, while significantly lowering power consumption on the units at the meters. Looking forward to seeing where this goes and maybe even contributing, though it is quite long since I last time looked at OpenCV. |
