rust support finalAttrs upstream

With the merge of this PR: NixOS/nixpkgs#382550, seems that rust get finalAttrs access, can this be used to simplify the vendored stuff?

Is there an API that you like to have implemented? Any specific ideas for how you'd want to add the passthru stuff to a derivation?
