Any thought to coloring the key tiles based on the type of press, specifically &kp, &trans, and &none

It would be nice to know which keys are which at a glance. You could also resolve the &trans to read the passed through key if possible, and color it so you know it's a transparent binding.

It's been asked before, I've considered it. There's some ambiguity about how to determine what a key is actually doing (&kp ... is clear, but what about a mod morph? What about a mod morph or other behaviour wrapped in a parameterized macro so it's still in the form of &FOO BAR?).

A simple option is just limiting it to &none and &trans because there's not really a need to abstract them in other behaviours... I don't think showing the passed through key is feasible since I can't know which intermediary layers may be active. In some cases it would be fine but in others it would be confusing or misleading.

The other question is how to style it. I'd rather not introduce another colour to highlight, but contrast is already a little sub-par as far as accessibility is concerned so I probably shouldn't try to use opacity either.

Style wise, you could use the background color for &trans, since it's transparent and &none could be white. Or maybe the low contrast colorway could be revisited. If I have time, maybe I run the current colors through a pallet generator and see if there's a complementary color missing, etc. If I come up with something nice I'll update this thread.

I saw that TRANS is now darkened, not sure if I influenced that but I love it.
