Using a dial for different hotkey press #147

Hello guys! Just got an Ajazz AKP03 from Aliexpress. Really happy with it. I was able to install the necessary plugin to use it natively with OpenDeck Windows but got stuck with something: I need to set different hotkeys (HID) for each action on a dial/encoder. I need, for example, turn left = press F2, turn right = press F3, dial button = F5 and so on. Is it possible? Thanks. |

If you are on X11 it would be possible with external tools. On Wayland I don't think there would be a reliable way right now. |

Hello @Terrorwolf01, thanks for the reply. I'm running latest version of OpenDeck on Windows, with the Ajazz AKP04 deck. Got the Ajazz plugin installed and the deck responds fine to the app. I was traying many plugins but non that I could find to adapt to that need. The only one what works with the dial was the Home Assistant one but that would be a hassle since I just need hotkeys (HID) to be pressed with the knob's interactions. |

Thanks so much for the help! I’ve been trying to create native run commands but haven’t been able to figure it out. Since I don’t have advanced coding skills, I used ChatGPT to generate some VBS scripts, but unfortunately, I haven’t had any luck getting them to work. All I really need is to trigger those three functions from a dial (ideally with a hold button as a bonus). If anyone knows how to do this—or if there’s a third-party plugin that can help—I’d really appreciate any guidance. I really don't want to install the Chinese app for the Ajazz deck 😒 Thanks again! |
