Based on the discussions, and the ideas raised in version 2025.8.2, I created a new version. Major change is the slider, which automatically impacs the current value in the app. Moreover, all links to percentages - which seem to create confusion - have been removed.
The docs are updated as well.
I tested it, but of course, it may still cause some flaws ...

Moreover, version 4 adds finally the necessary switch for EVCC integration!

Version 5 also includes the min surplus in smart mode! Please see the updated docs, as there is an update issue with it. (Not in home assistant though).
I will now stop adding items for a moment and let all of us evaluate the integration. The next update may just improve stability, if we can detect the issues and the origin of them.

Just a question: for the start charging method, in an automation, would it be possible to just use the value set in the number in the device?

Probably, YAML code, one can configure this current value as a variable and use it in the action, of course, but for user friendlyness it would be good to make it possible in the visual editor as well, or have a toggle box to use the pre-set value in the entity instead of the one in the variables section.

Ow, indeed, I could also use the "push button" action, where the "start charging" button takes the value set in the slider variable.

I now generated 2025.8.7 and 2025.8.8. The main reason is, when reading HACS integration docs and discussing with ChatGPT, it is important to fully exploit the functionality of Home Assistant, and to be future proof. That's why I now took the bite and included these optimizations. That resulted in a refactoring, but we are safe for future now (I hope). I include aiohttp sessions of Home Assistant, and the use of data.py and coordinator.py.

For now, I won't do any updates unless really necessary ones like bug fixes.
