Weird memory usage issue

Describe the bug

When I first connect to the server, the memory usage is around 1.6GB. However, as I stay online for an increasing amount of time, the memory usage continuously decreases. After approximately one hour, it drops to around 1.2GB, and after two hours, it’s down to 875MB. The game and server are loaded the same way, but it seems like the memory consumption is gradually decreasing for no apparent reason.

I've observed this issue on multiple servers, and it appears to be present almost everywhere (on regular play server too).
(I've noticed first back in 2015, but i see no issues opened here, maybe someone mention it on discord in the past.)

Is there any known explanation for this?

Steps to reproduce

1. Connect to the server.
2. Monitor the memory usage.
3. Wait for a prolonged period (e.g., 1 hour, 2 hours).

Cannot reproduce it, version: 22910 (Client & Server)
I was playing on a local server for 1h30m, a vanilla environment in play resource. (real playing, not only afking)

For me its the opposite, the memory started at 430 mb and over the time it slowly went up to a maximum of 800mb and dropped it down to 670mb. (I was in LV or LS when I had 800mb and in countryside with 670mb)

The only thing I noticed is the high cpu usage for about ~20-25 minutes. ( #2856 )
