This could be considered a duplicate of #50 but I do want to specifically mention it:

The configuration in the example for label_font_size is very cryptic. For floating mode, it is "12 50% 100" -- and I can guess some of that but really don't want to experiment and reverse engineer it.

Moreover, other modes -- bisect -- use a different format. This is very confusing.

My particular problem is just that using the floating mode and autodetection, the labels are far too small.

Some documentation for what the three fields mean, and for which modes, would be helpful.

The first number is the minimum font size, the second is the ratio from the area height (e.g. if set to 50% the font size will be half) and the last one is the maximum font size. E.g.:

# min size, ratio to area height, max size
label_font_size=10 90% 30

Moreover, other modes -- bisect -- use a different format. This is very confusing.

As for the bisect mode, it simply doesn't support that level of customization and is instead hardcoded as max(min(512, sub_area_height * .9), bisect_mode.label_font_size). Though, now that you mention it, it would be interesting to support the above.

In that case, fixing the minimum font size should solve your issue.
